The ERN's Asset Visibility & Assignment (Asset) feature supports the immediate identification and assignment of the correct equipment, personnel, vehicle and supplies from your organization's pre-positioned inventory and/or dynamically recruited supplemental inventory.

The ERN's Asset feature allows you to maintain a registry of special equipment and assets that may be shared between jurisdictions. In order to minimize delays during emergency response, the ERN Asset feature includes related MOU and MAA documentation.

Emergency Management and relief organizations may dynamically report specific needs from the scene into the ERN. The correct asset can then be located and deployed based on proximity; availability; and other specific criteria according to local policy.

The US Department of Homeland Security promoted the ERN Asset system as the "National Emergency Resource Registry" which was used by over 100 agencies before, during and after Hurricane Katrina. The White House estimated over $2B of otherwise unknown resources were made available through the use of YHD's system.

The ERN's Asset system offers, in part, the following key capabilities:

• Register equipment, personnel, vehicle and supplies from within your organization and/or your partners and suppliers
• Register and prioritize needs from within your organization or other responding agencies and non-government organizations
• Match, allocate and remove from inventory deployed equipment, personnel, vehicles and supplies
• Produce accurate after action report detailing pre- and post-inventory status; timing and originator of needs; unmet needs; surplus inventory and so on
